What’s The Process?
- Contact me with your idea (reference image(s), desired expression, etc).- I’ll reply with your official quote.- Once you approve the quote, I’ll invoice you.- Once I receive payment, I will get to work on your sketch!
Please allow a maximum of 2 weeks (14 days) for me to prepare your sketch.- When the sketch is completed, I will send it to you. Have a careful look over it, and let me know if there are any changes you’d like made!- Once you are satisfied with the sketch, I will move on to the lineart.
Please note: once you have approved the sketch, nothing major can then be modified (I.e. things that were made clear in the sketch phase; angle, major pose points, placement of props, etc)
Please allow a maximum of 2 weeks (14 days) for me to prepare your lineart.- Once the lineart is finished, I will send it to you. You can then approve or request edits for minor things (I.e., things not made clear in the sketch; wrong amount of eyelashes, misplacement of hair tufts, a poorly understood pendant shape, etc).
Please note: once you have approved the lineart, you can no longer modify anything pertaining to the form of the illustration.- Finally, I will provide “flat colors” - this is the final phase of the process for reference sheets, or the second-to-final phase of the process for every other commission option. At this point, we will decide on the “flat colors” of the piece - which is to say, the colors in their purest form - before any shading, highlighting, texturing, etc.
Please allow a maximum of 2 weeks (14 days) for me to prepare your colors.- You can edit whatever colors you like up to 5 separate times without additional charge.- Finally, once approved, I will work on your final piece - this will be the completed art with all the highlighting, shadows, textures and so on. ☺️

What if I have an idea for a different kind of commission you don’t have listed? Will you hear me out?
ABSOLUTELY! Please don’t hesitate to reach out. Maybe you’re thinking about sub badges, overlays, starting, ending, or BRB screens, multi-character art, etc- whatever it is, please just reach out to me. Happy to have a conversation with you! ☺️Are you really going to take 2 weeks for every single phase of the drawing? Sounds like it could be up to 6 weeks!
Don’t worry too much. I have actually never taken that full time period. It’s just to help my anxiety in case something comes up irl. Besides, I also do accept rush commissions - so just message me if you need something within the next week and we can talk through it ☺️How long have you been drawing?
A loooooooong time! ☺️How long have you been taking commissions for? Why do you insist on payment up front?
I’ve been taking commissions for the better part of two decades. For about 5 years, I subsisted exclusively and entirely off of commissions. I take a lot of pride in my work, so I work hard to make sure I meet or exceed your expectations when you work with me. For the next question, I have been ripped off before by letting people “pay after” the commission is done. The IP TauTassieTiger is new, but my commission pieces, prices and principles are not. ☺️Speaking of… do you accept payment plans?
In very niche cases I do. Here’s my philosophy:
Pieces under $100 - Payment up front
$100-$300 - Half before the sketch, half after the sketch is approved
$300+ - We can work out a payment plan if needed ☺️
Please note, my preference is upfront payment in every case, but I do understand that that’s not always possible and try to accommodate for those scenarios.What currency are these quotes in?
